Hillel of Colorado Announces New University of Denver Student Life Director

Denver, Colorado, August 11, 2017Hillel of Colorado is proud to announce that Natalie Bergner has joined the team as the new University of Denver Jewish Student Life Director. In her role, Bergner will be responsible for overseeing the University of Denver Hillel program on the campus and creating and overseeing relevant and captivating programs to engage Jewish students attending the University of Denver.

“Natalie is the perfect fit to continue shaping a strong, vibrant and revitalized DU Hillel campus community,” said Daniel W. Bennett, executive director of Hillel of Colorado. “Natalie was selected from a deep candidate pool and we are thrilled to have her spearheading the University of Denver program.”

Bergner comes to Hillel of Colorado from New York where she attended JTS Rabbinical School. Her background includes working as a coach for One Table in New York, and as assistant program director for Kids4Peace in Jerusalem. Bergner’s undergraduate degree is in Jewish Studies from Northwestern University, where she was deeply active as a Hillel student leader.

Bennett headed the national search and was joined on the search committee by Rabbi Brian Immerman from Temple Emanuel; Rachel Balows, Hillel board member and former Hillel campus director; and select DU Hillel student leaders.

Bergner will be building on the work of former DU Campus director Jamie Skog, who has transitioned to the University of Michigan Hillel.
