Hillel of Colorado Arrives at Mines

Hillel of Colorado is thrilled to announce our expansion to the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado!
This milestone represents a significant step in our mission to serve Jewish students across the state. With over 8,000 students at Mines, there is a vibrant and growing Jewish community eager for connection, celebration, and support.
Why Mines?
Colorado School of Mines has long been known for its rigorous engineering and science programs, attracting talented students from across the country and around the world. Among these students is a meaningful Jewish population that, until now, has not had dedicated Hillel programming on campus.
Through conversations with students, parents, and community members, it became clear that there was both a need and a desire for Jewish life at Mines. Students wanted a place to celebrate Shabbat, connect with other Jewish students, and find community in the demanding Mines environment.
What to Expect
Hillel at Mines will offer:
- Shabbat dinners and holiday celebrations — bringing the warmth of Jewish tradition to the Golden campus
- Community-building events — creating opportunities for Jewish students to connect with one another
- Wellness and support resources — extending Hillel of Colorado's commitment to student mental health and well-being
- Israel programming — including Birthright recruitment and Israel engagement opportunities
- Leadership development — empowering Mines students to take ownership of Jewish life on their campus
A Growing Network
With the addition of Mines, Hillel of Colorado now serves four campuses: Colorado State University in Fort Collins, the University of Denver, the Auraria Campus in downtown Denver (CU Denver, MSU Denver, and CCD), and Colorado School of Mines in Golden.
This expansion was made possible by the generous support of our donors and community partners who share our vision of ensuring that every Jewish student in Colorado has access to a vibrant, supportive Jewish community.
